Beloved Kingdom Brethren @ ZION: It is quite certain & Biblically evident that the Mount ZION which Blessed Apostle John saw in his Divine Vision was, in fact, a "Sign" or symbolic. In effect, it signified, symbolized, the physically invisible "Heavenly Mount ZION. Obviously, this is where the "Heavenly Jerusalem", The Holy City" of God is divinely located, to God's Glory (Hebrew 12: 22). Alleluia!! Amen. Hosanna In The Highest!
The symbolic "Lamb Of God" is the resurrected, glorified Lord Jesus Christ De Messiah Yahshua, Whom the Biblical Book of Revelation Chapter 5 verse 5 identifies as "The Lion That Is Of The Tribe Of Judah, The Root Of David". Alleluia!! Amen.
How appropriate that this One would be standing on the Heavenly Mouth ZION! After all, his forefather, King David, captured the earthly Mount ZION, the Citadel on it finally came to be called "The City Of David" (2 Samuel 5: 4-9).
The Lord Christ De Messiah's standing there shows that He has begun reigning, this being the Scriptural expression applied to portray that the Prince Of Peace, even the Lord, has taken power to reign (Daniel 12: 1). As regards this event, Psalm 2 written by King David & applied to the Apostle John & his contemporaneous Apostles to the Lord Jesus Christ De Messiah Yahshua, had this to tell: "The Kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against The Lord & against His anointed Servant. The Lord God Himself will hold them in derision. At that precise time He will speak to them in His Wrath & vex them in His sore displeasure"; and adding: "Yet have I set My King upon My Holy Mountain Of ZION" (Psalm 2: 2-6; Acts 4: 24-30).
Historical account emphatically tells that the earthly Zion which rejected the Blessed Lord Christ De Messiah during His Triumphal Entry in AD 33, was utterly destroyed by the pagan Romans in the year AD 70. Nevertheless, the true ZION of the Divine Vision of Apostle John & his contemporaneous Disciples continued standing because it is a spiritual, Heavenly One. To all Christian Believers in the Past, Present & including all would-be Disciples of Lord Christ De Messiah in the future, the Words of God in Hebrews 12 verses 22-23 applied: "But you have come to Mount ZION and unto the City of the Living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem, and to the innumerable company of Angels to the General Assembly & Church of the Firstborn, which are written in Heaven and to God, The Judge Of All".
Obviously, it is upon this spiritual ZION that the Blessed Lord Christ De Messiah, the High Priest, according to the manner of Melchizedek, was to be enthroned as King (Psalm 110: 4; Hebrews 5: 10; 6: 20). Thus, Jerusalem would no longer be trampled down by the heathen nations. In other words, what Jerusalem really signified won't anymore be trodden down. O yes! When Jerusalem began to be trampled by the Babylonians early in the 6th Century B.C., it represented the seat of God's typical earthly kingdom. His Throne on which the kings of the Royal line of David sat had been in that city & was overturned in 607 B.C., with little or no hope of rehabilitation even though the literal city was rebuilt.
It stands to reason that the beginning of the Gentile Times implied the overturning of the Kingdom of God in line of David. Similarly, the close of the Gentile Times would imply the re-establishment of God's Kingdom in the line of David.
Ever since the year A.D. 33, the David's Heir & Lord has been in Heaven @ the Right Hand of God. So, the ZION to which He comes & which receives Him is in Heaven Above. Thus, the Throne where God's Kingdom is set up is the Heavenly ZION, not the kind of Moslem-Jewish city of earthly Jerusalem presently found in the Middle East.
Consequently, God's Kingdom, which was symbolically represented in the ancient earthly Jerusalem is no more trampled down by the nations. Hence, God's Kingdom now represented in "Spiritual ZION Of Heavenly Jerusalem" - Our Glorious Happy Home Of Divine Blessedness, Eternal Salvation cum Sanctification, Peace, Bliss & Glory, To God's Glory & By His Grace. Alleluia!! Amen. Hosanna In The Highest!
So, indeed, Isaiah 52 finds its most profound but clearest expression & dramatic fulfillment in a complete sense in the Heavenly ZION. She is, evidently & Biblically, the free "Jerusalem Above", which was foreshadowed by the faithful earthly Zion or Jerusalem (Galatians 4: 26).
